Normally, by this point pre-trip I would have been packed for weeks.  Seriously. I like to have my bags ready to go a couple weeks ahead of the departure date.  Heather thinks I ‘m crazy, because she always packs the night before she leaves. The thought of doing that makes me want to tear my hair out. However, it looks like this trip I will be packing my bags Heather style. The entire month of May our family has had something to do every night.  First it was baseball with my son, two games a week plus 3 nights of practice.  Then there was the piano recital. My older daughter still has gymnastics three days a week, and my younger daughter has her dress rehersal and ballet performance this week.  That is all part of being a mom. We do what needs to be done.  I’ve learned to take one day at a time.  On some of those days I have to tell myself that I will be in the UK very soon and whatever chaos is around me now will be a distant memory.  On other days I  want to soak up every wonderful moment with my kids and husband.

So, I have no doubt that my suitcases will get packed before Friday. All the other last minute details will work out and before I know it I will be sitting on a plane crossing the Atlantic Ocean.  Today I am going to take my own advice and enjoy the journey!

Enjoy the journey,

Courtney
